Spectacular Murchison River Gorges & Cliffs
This is a must-do experience. You see so much more from the air, and our flight offers dramatic perspective and a true impression of the Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake and Kalbarri Gorges’ immense scope and scale.
In addition, unless you are extremely fit and ready for long climbing walks, you will not get a real grasp of the Gorges from the ground. The lookouts only cover a very small portion of the gorges, and miss many of the highlights.
After takeoff, we head North Along the Coast to the Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake. taking a view from the south of the Pink Lake that is divided from the dark blue ocean by a strip of land. After completing an overfly of the Pink Lake we continue North along the Kalbarri Coastal Cliffs Until we reach Kalbarri on the Mouth of the Murchison River.

From there we follow the River in towards the rugged and breathtaking Kalbarri National Park along the full length of the Murchison River Gorges until the Ross Graham lookout.
The river has cut through the sandstone, allowing you to view steep rock faces with stunning white, red and purple rock layers as you pass close by. Many of these amazing wonders of Nature are inaccessible, and un-viewable, except by air.
We overfly the loop taking in scenery from a totally different perspective. After overpassing Hawkeshead, Little Z Bend, Big Z Bend, the Four Ways (an interesting formation of the river going one way and then two large cuts coming in from both directions), we head South again this time inland for Geraldton.
This is an absolute must if you wish to appreciate the full, dramatic splendour and scale of the River Gorges.
