What kind of
Aircraft do you use?
All of our aircraft are high wing, single engine Cessnas. Our current aircraft include;

Cessna 172
Does everyone get a
Window Seat?
Yes, all adult seats are window seats. As our aircraft are single engine aircraft the seats are in two rows.
Will I get a
Good view?
Thanks to the high wing aircraft you can get a good view of the scenery, not a view of the wing.
What are the
Child Ages?
Infants are 0-12 months and free sitting on a parent’s knee, maximum 1 infant free of charge per booking. Children tickets are applicable to children 1-12 years and under 38 kilograms.
Why do you need my weight
For the flight?
For light aircraft knowing the weight of passengers is essential for safety, passenger seating arrangements and completing a weight and balance.
Do you have a weight limit
for passengers?
Nationwest Aviation doesn't have a Max weight limit for passengers. However, due to some aircraft having a maximum seat weight of 120kgs, tickets available through online booking are capped at a total passenger weight of 120kgs. If someone in your party is over 119kgs, please call our booking line to discuss booking options.

Seats are organised by the pilots based on the weights of passengers. Any alternate seating arrangements are at the discretion of the pilot, working within safety parameters.

For the flights?
Flight minimums are dependant on the weight limitations of an aircraft. Theses minimums are for the flight to go ahead and do not guarantee a private flight. Private charters need to be arranged separately.
Do you have a pick up and drop off
Service?
Currently we don't offer a complimentary pick up service, however we can arrange a car service at cost.
Can I pay for my tour
When I get to the Airport?
To secure your tour and ensure no other customers are affected by unpaid bookings or 'No Shows', we require payment to confirm your booking.
Can I Take Photos
On my Scenic Flight?
Of course, and if you would like a photo taken of yourself with the aircraft, please ask our friendly pilots. Little tip resting the camera on the windows will cause your photos to blur. Please make sure to tag us if you decide to share these photos online.
Is having Doors off
An Option?
We are able to fly with 1 door off. This can be arranged with our office. This is for Charter flights only to allow for comfort of all passengers
Is there a toilet
On the Aircraft?
There are no toilets on the aircraft. However there is a toilet at the Passenger Terminal and at landing destination e.g. Abrolhos Islands and Monkey Mia.
How hard are
The Walks?
Walks are all optional and of low difficulty. Walks on islands e.g. the Abrolhos Islands, have areas of unsure terrain and we advise walking with caution.
Can I bring
My own snorkel gear?
You can bring your own snorkel gear. However, we do ask that you contact us first and tell us the weight of the gear you wish to bring, so that our pilots can make sure that it can safely fit in the aircraft.
Do you cater to
Dietary needs?
We can to an extent carter to dietary needs. If you have a dietary need, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can confirm if an alternative is available.
Do you Fly
All Year Round?
Yes, we do fly all year round. However, there are some tours that are seasonal e.g. Wooleen Station. Seasonal flights are marked as such in their descriptions.
What do I need to be aware of
Before I Fly?
A safety brief is given by the pilot before each flight and safety cards are available on board. Please listen carefully to the briefing, as this contains all important information.
What do I Do
If I See something I'm unsure of?
If you are concerned about anything, please report your concerns to the office staff or the pilot as soon as you can.

Track its Aircraft?
In addition to our Pilots setting a SAR for each flight with head office, our aircraft are fitted with a satellite-based tracking system. With this we are able to determine the exact location, the direction, speed and altitude of our aircraft, all the times.
